Peacemaker in Love

“Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.” – James 3:18

In relationships, most all can admit to struggling with the need to be right. Have you heard the saying, “pick your battles?” It is that principle that is crucial to peace within love, especially intimate relationships.  Grounding yourself in the Bible, making reading of the scripture top daily priority will enable you to be the peacemaker in love.

The goal is to create a home that is a sanctuary from the darkness in this world.  The first step towards achieving a harvest of righteousness is within yourself. Biblical surrender is not an act of throwing up your hands and keeping resentment in your heart.

Most the little things in marriage and committed relationships that are fought over really are not worth the damage it causes to the peace and  mutual connection that ends up being lost.  It’s usually a accumulation of small things that add up to an overall negative feeling in a relationship.

I encourage you to first examine the potential disagreement before taking an unbending stand that disrupts peace.
